If your employer is in MA, but you live and work out of home in NH, do you owe taxes for days worked at home?

My husband works for a Mass company, but works from the home in NH 4 out of 5 days. Should he pay taxes for days he works at home? He also travels around the country and Europe. Does he owe for those days, also? We have taxes taken out every paycheck.

No. His job is in MA so he works in MA regardless of where he happens to spend the day. The only state he owes is MA.

If you are present in a state, then any income earned during this period, must be reported to the state.

To your resident state, you must report your worldwide income for the year.

If you live and work is a state but your employer is from another state, then your income is only subject to the state where you live and work. Read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/06/working-in-two-or-more-states.html
