Whos the best NFL player (at any position) of all time?

i just dont want names i want liget reasons why you think you choice is the best to ever don a NFL jersey

He has 22,895 receiving yards, second place all time has 15,000.
He has 197 receiving TD’s, second place has 130.
He has 207 total TD’s, second place has 175.
He has 1549 receptions, second place has 1100.
His name is Jerry Rice. The numbers don’t lie, the way he absolutely smashed all of these records establishes him as the greatest ever. Winning three super bowls and playing in 13 Pro Bowls gives him the hardware to confirm the stats. The most amazing thing about Rice is that in 20 NFL season, he played every single game in 18 seasons. His 303 games played are by far the most of any receiver and behind only a few kickers. To compare him to baseball, he has the numbers and dominance of Barry Bonds but with the character and respect of Cal Ripken Jr.

One final mind blowing stat: If you plug ONLY his receiving yards onto the all-time total yards list which includes rushing, receiving, and return yards, he would still rank second all time.

People are gonna come at me for this… but, Tom Brady. I know… his career isn’t over yet & some don’t even consider him the best at his position, but Tom Brady… the guy is just a beast. Did you see him juke Urlacher? Yeah… do you see him turn ordinary recievers into pro bowlers? What about not having a true recieving corps this year and still winning the AFC East for a 4th consecutive year and putting his team in a good position to get a 4th superbowl in 6 years? The mind boggling thing is… he’s only getting better & not having a real good recieving corps this year is only gonna help make him better in the long run. People wanna say Peyton Manning… no way… not even close, he’s not even in the same ballpark as Brady. Yeah… Peyton has those stats, big deal… the guy lobbies to get first round offensive draft picks because he isn’t confident enough in his own ability, which shines through in the playoffs each year. And some may blame the lack of defense… well, if he hadn’t lobbied for all those offensive players maybe they could put some people on D. So… yes, Tom Brady… look at his career when he is done & then you tell me who is the best all around player ever.

Theres been no love for any linesmen. That comes down to any member of the steel curtain of the 1970s Pittsbrugh steelers or Reggie White. My vote would go to Reggie White. He had an unblockable ability that could ruin drives. Lets face if a quartback has no offensive line he isn’t going to look good and if you can’t pressure a quartback you better have really really good cornerbakcs. Its the linemen that make teams. Although its a team effort as well with linemen as the corner stone.

The greatest player of all time was Walter Payton. Yes! Why? because he was a freight train that could not be stopped. The 85 bears aren’t memorable because of 15-1, it’s because of Walter Payton and the dominance he brought to every game! OH yeah Tom Brady is a poser he never won the super bowls he just got vinitari in field goal range.

Walter Payton. He was an exceptional runner, blocker, reciever, and he could throw the ball as well. Offensively he was unbelievable, especially when you realize that for the first 10 years or so he didn’t have a probowl blocker on the team. He was a class act on and off the field and was a great embassador of the game and role model.

Walter Payton. Most complete pro ever. I was watching a feature on him recently and a team was watching film to prepare for Payton. Everyone knew he was unstopable on the ground so they expected to see his running plays. Instead, the coach showed 20 minutes of Payton blocking, and absolutely destroying defenders.

He could run, catch, block, and score as well or better than anyone else. Take into account that he’s also one of the classiest, most decent human beings to ever walk the earth, you gotta give it to Sweetness.
