No. Good luck getting a good reference!
Also, be VERY glad they didn’t prosecute. Generally, they do.

No – I doubt very much that you will be able to work there or at another Best Buy.

You could certainly try for another retail store, but you’ll need good references.

You must be very young. Best Buy will no way in hell hire you again and if you use them as a reference they can legally warn the next place of employment of your thievery. If anyone responds it would be illegal to give you a bad reference.. ::::eeerrrrrr:::: WRONG. There are no laws in any state that an employer cannot give a bad reference especially if it is true. In your case it would be true. I can’t believe you couldn’t take out $20.00 from your pocket and pay for the game. If you were my son or daughter I would have pummeled you.

You will never be able to work at a Best Buy store again. Most job applications ask if you have ever worked for that company before. If you answer that question honestly, they wouldn’t even consider you. If it didn’t ask that question, or if you lied, your history with Best Buy would show up as soon as Corporate HR tried to enter you into the system.
