I’ve long believed that the only perfect solution to the immigration problems with Mexico was annexation. But America must keep its identity. If Mexico cannot handle its affairs and wants to join with the United States, I think that is a great idea. But we will still be the United States of America. We will just add a few more states when we annex Mexico. And if Canada wants to Join in, the same goes for them. We remain The United States of America, we just get bigger and stronger. It may only differ in name from the North American Union, but Americans are far too proud to ever give up their national identity. And if Mexicans and Canadians feel the same about their countries then the whole idea ought to be scrapped. But by far the best way to stop illegal immigrants from entering our coutry from Mexico is to make Mexico part of America. Heck Just Annex everything down to Panama. Then we have a lot less border to protect. But the condition that we remain the United States of America is non-negotiable. But all of those people would automatically become US citizens. So they gain a lot out of the deal. Sounds Imperialistic, but it would work as long as it was done peacefully.
