What are some good hotels for Orlando near universal?

I’m planning a trip for Orlando for me and three friends in January. I’ve been searching orbitz and expedia by Universal and was wondering if there was any other hotels that are in the area or recommended? We are looking for something close to universal as well as citywalk and disney.

Below are some hotel recommendations near Universal, Orlando. However, make sure you book thru coupondawg.com/agoda for better rates. I book all my travel/hotels thru them, they offer very competitive prices. Here’s the link. Compare prices before you book.

be careful in the area outside universal, major blvd. in particular, kirkman rd. also. there are a lot of thugs looking for easy prey. international dr. is a little safer. almost all hotels have free shuttles to the theme parks.

Well you can’t get a hotel near to both Universal and Disney as they are really far apart (Well about 30 mins) But yeah, I would recomend International drive as it has the best hotels probably, with the best location as it is near to lots of attractions (and in walking distance from Sea World) You will have a 15 min drive to disney probs (:

The hotel we stay at Universal is Fair field Inn by Marriott it is on
Vineland rd. The rates are reasonable and they offer free breakfast from 6-10am. The offer free shuttle service to and from Universal Studios and City walk. When we go to Disney we stay at the Days in Maingate resort. We get the suite for under 100.00 nightly. The Hotel is about 3 miles from Disney and offers free shuttle service. If you stay on either parks on-site hotels be ready to fork over lots of money. Enjoy your vacation..

We stayed at the Homewood Suites right off of International Drive. They provide free transportation to Universal as well as Seaworld and Aquatica. They are in walking distance to Wet n Wild as well. Depending on when you are planning on going the best deals are through Universal and Seaworld. You can get a package deal from Seaworld for 4 for about 1800 including hotel and seaworld tickets. You can also check out Universal since they are also running buy 3 get 2 free deal which will include there tickets. You can also choose there sister hotel which is right next door (you can use either of the facilities) which is the Garden Inn. The Homewood suite is more family oriented with 2 queen beds in one room and a pull out in the living room, the Garden Inn has 2 doubles in the room. Both hotels have courteous workers and would love to stay there again. But any of the hotels that you book through Universal or Seaworld I have heard nothing but good things about from others who have stayed there. If you need transportaion to and from the airport can I suggest Happy Limosine check out more information on mousesavers.com.
