it was a visual …
it was a visual ache, I loved Hotel Chevalier but the whole DL film was super self-indulgent and a shameless-makes-me-wanna-puke advertisement for the Luis Vuitton bags and suitcases!!! (except the scene where bill murray appears with a vintage samsonite ensemble) it was a horrible dissapointment after this magnifique short!
sorry all WA fans but should be able to be a little bit critic about this one (unless you’re under 21 or just don’t care about cinema)

The think with …
The think with Darjeeling and the reason why its possibly my favourite film is because wes anderson hasnt just looked at the storyline, the film was built up around the relationship of the brothers, their mother ect. Which, yes, is quiet evident whilst watching the film.
Where indie films like DL dont have the budge to spend money in special fx, huge casts and insane, mental casts, a director might look at the characters and build up around them more. Hence alot of Indie films are amazing.

I think that …
I think that Anderson should have sticked with this idea instead of making Darjeeling Limited…
I’m not saying DL is a bad film but it’s so much less interesting than this brilliant shortfilm.
