Can a power of attorney be assigned in NH?

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

He missed a court date and is unable to appear on the next court date. With a notarized permission, can a relative plead his case in court? It is different in all states, but some states allow power of attorney to plead the case, is this so in NH district small claims court?
This is a civil matter not a criminal one.

depends on why they cannot be there. if it’s out of stupidity then no

is there a free shuttle from Manchester NH to Boston Airport?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

Hi, Can anyone tell me if there is a shuttle from Manchester NH Airport to Boston Logan Airport?
Thanks
(Or Hartford Connecticut Airport)
Hartford to Boston I should have put.

Not free, but there are shuttles. Flightline is something like $29.00. http://www.flightlineinc.com/mhtlogan.html

Hartford to Boston is a long way, Manchester to Hartford even farther. I can’t imagine enough traffic to have a shuttle service. You can take an Amtrak train or long distance bus, but it’s not quick.

Also consider TF Green Airport in Providence. That’s an easy trip to Logan by bus or train.

Is my outstanding moving violation in Mass going to pop up when I renew my license in NH?

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

It was a $50 moving violation for driving over train tracks. However, it’s been a year and three months and I’ve never received anything in the mail regarding the delinquent ticket. I’m thinking it may be possible that they didn’t put it on record, but even if they did, will it pop up at the DMV in NH?

It’s a 50 / 50 proposition.

If it had a grocery store it would be called Walmart Supercenter. This one isnt a Supercenter

A regular Walmart has some food like chips ,pop, crackers, peanuts etc.
Snack food.

what states won’t extradite over a NH misdemeanor child endangerment charge and jumping the bail?

Saturday, December 12th, 2009

Child services is investigating, and have temporarily given guardianship to the child’s grandparents. I have not gone to an arraignment on the criminal charge, my bail was $1,000, the charge is for being at a party and leaving my 10 year old alone. Are there any states, if not, suitable countries that won’t extradite me back to NH?

When looking at our laws concerning Extradition, there are a few requirements for this to occur.

In order for a person to be extradited interstate, 18 U.S.C. ยง 3182 requires:

An executive authority demand of the jurisdiction to which a person that is a fugitive from justice has fled.

The requesting executive must produce a copy of an indictment found or an affidavit made before a magistrate of any State or Territory, and

Such document must charge the fugitive demanded with having committed treason, felony, or other crime, and

Such document must be certified as authentic by the governor or chief magistrate of the state or territory from whence the person so charged has fled.

The executive receiving the request must then cause the fugitive to be arrested and secured, and notify the requesting executive authority or agent to receive the fugitive.

An agent of the executive of the State demanding extradition must appear to receive the prisoner, which must occur within thirty days from time of arrest or the prisoner may be released.

Cases of kidnapping by a parent to another state would be automatic involvement by the US Marshals department.

Extradiction does not NORMALLY include misdemeanor cases.

Child custody issues are somewhat different because of the children.

My best suggestion is you contact an attorney to represent you!

why is Friday Night SmackDown on August 1st in manchester NH filmed on a saturday night?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

i have tickets to Friday Night SmackDown on August 1st in Manchester NH and the tickets say that its on a Saturday…why is that? Also what is the Summer Slam Tour?

OMG!!! I’m going to. It’s being done on a saturday cause it is a house show (not televised,no elaborate entrances or title changes.) So it isn’t gonna be shown on tv. That’s why it’s on a saturday. When they say it’s an Smackdown/ECW Live Event or some sort of tour it is always a house show. If it says Smackdown/ECW and nothing else, it will be shown on TV.

WWE Live Events and see what I mean:

Also, look at the wikipedia page for house shows:

If your employer is in MA, but you live and work out of home in NH, do you owe taxes for days worked at home?

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

My husband works for a Mass company, but works from the home in NH 4 out of 5 days. Should he pay taxes for days he works at home? He also travels around the country and Europe. Does he owe for those days, also? We have taxes taken out every paycheck.

No. His job is in MA so he works in MA regardless of where he happens to spend the day. The only state he owes is MA.

I work in MA but am planning to buy a home in NH. Does anyone know how this will affect my income taxes?

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

I know there is a benefit to working in NH, but will I lose out by doing the reverse? Do I get to claim my MA taxes when I file? I have tried researching this, but to no avail.
Thanks to anyone in the same boat!

You will kind of lose out by doing the reverse. New Hampshire doesn’t have an income tax, only a business tax and an interest and dividends tax, so you won’t get credit for Mass Income taxes that you will have to pay. You will also have to file a non-resident Massachusetts income tax return. As far as federal goes, you will get to deduct your New Hampshire property taxes, and Massachusetts income taxes paid on your Schedule A – Itemized Deductions.

If Giulianni loses Iowa and NH, what are his changes winning the Replubican nomination?

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

Who do you think is going to win Iowa and NH?

I think his chances are slim. I see Huckabee winning Iowa on a slim margin and either Romney or Giuliani in NH.
