What hotels will allow 18 year old to check in in Canada with a credit card?

Saturday, November 14th, 2009

planning a trip at the end of august. i will be 18 my friend 19. we are planning on going to ontario to niagara falls. any specific hotels that are totally gross that will let us stay there?? i was looking around didnt find a lot.

I think the fact that you have a valid Credit Card will be more important than your age. They may ask you to put down a damage deposit in case you trash the place but you will get it back when you leave the room in good shape.

Most hotels have toll free Numbers that you can call and ask.

What is the best website to search hotels?

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

I am planning on staying in Universal City/Hollywood. I need a room that is walking distance (or within a few miles) of City Walk and Univeral Studios, therefore I need a search engine that will only search within a certain amount of miles. Most databases will give you the hotels closest to your search at the top and than ones that are further away. I don’t want that are any further than 5 miles away. Where can I get a specified search (i.e.: distance, suite, etc)? I am looking for a very specific criteria. Anyway please help!

What hotels allow you to be at least 18 to check into a room?

Sunday, November 8th, 2009

What hotels, such as howard johnson, days inn, etc, allow you to be at least 18 to check into a room? Ive only seen 21 years of age…and i know this is in the wrong place…just cant get an answer anywhere else.

Most states have an innkeeper’s law where you have to be at least 21 to rent a hotel room. The reason for that is because of liability in case of under age drinking. If the registered guest is over 21 and provides alcohol to minors they are responsible, but if the hotel rents to someone under 21 and there is alcohol the hotel is responsible. Too many parents in the past have rented hotels for their under age little darlings to party in so their homes don’t get trashed and they trash the hotels instead.

What hotels in San Diego accept Debit or cash?

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

I have had my identity stolen before and now I refuse to use credit cards. No one will burn me again! I am planning to take a trip down to San Diego and am wondering if any of you knew of debit or cash friendly hotels. Also if there is a deposit what is the amounts you paid? Thanks.

Most hotels will have a cancellation policy of either 4pm or 6pm day of arrival (local time). Some will be the day before, but they can hold your room up until that time and as long as cancel within the desired period you will not be up for a charge and they will not require a deposit. Your debit card should be more than OK for holding the room and you should not need to give them a deposit.

Beware…when a debit card is used the hotel/car hire companies more often than not hold a reserve against your account of about $500 (in addition to the room charge rate). The money should show back in your account within 24-48 hours after departure but could take longer. The same can apply to cc’s too, but usually just with debit cards as the vendor has more to lose.

I am sorry to hear about your bad experience but cc’s are a far better bet than debit cards. The level that they offer of protection is far greater and your responsibility is typically only $50 with a cc. Maybe you should re-look at that idea, getting one card with good protection?
Good luck with your trip and the bookings.

What hotels allow 18 year olds to rent a hotel?

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

I live in Ohio and I have to make a trip to see a friend only he doesn’t have room for me to stay at his place so I called hotels and for some reason hotels only let 21 year olds reserve them. My question is are there any hotels that I at the age of 18 can rent? So i dont have to sleep in my car.

Since you didn’t mention where you are going (Ohio is a big place!), no one is going to be able to tell you of any specific hotels.

Most hotels will rent to 18-year olds as long as they have a major credit card. The main exception is casinos, which require you to be 21. It’s ultimately up to each hotel to decide, but I would be shocked if you can’t find any place that will rent to you unless you lack a credit card. Even then, some hotels will rent to you but require a large cash deposit at check-in.

Keep trying. You should be able to find one.

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I am doing a french project on the Acadians. We need a hotel/motel or somewhere to stay, even a inn or something to stay at, one in each county of Prince Edward Island, and three activities in each county. I look, and look, but cannot find anything. Can anyone help? I need addresses, names, sources, everything! The hotels have to be acadian owned, too. I think this whole project is stupid. Remember ; only places on Prince Edward Island. Thanks!

Challenging, but hardly stupid.
