Wedding Weight Loss Tips – What Are Carbs?

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

Are you eating too much of the wrong types of carbs in your diet? Most people underestimate the correct amount of carbohydrates that they should be eating on a daily basis. When you go out to a restaurant do you ever notice how large the “carbs” portion servings are? Carbs are cheap and readily available. White carbs are probably the worst for those trying to lose weight. The reason is because they spike your blood sugar quickly and then you crash. That crash leads to a general feeling of laziness. Ever enjoy a big bowl of pasta? What do you want to do right after eating a nice big bowl of pasta? Go to sleep right? If you’re trying to gain weight then carbs are the way forward, however, if you want to lose it then you should probably look to “slow release” carbs like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

Delayed Diagnosis Of Cancer

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

This years thousands of men and women will die of advanced cancer. Some cancers are very difficult to detect until there are symptoms and it is too late to save the person. But there are cancers for which the technology exists to detect them while the cancer is still in the very early stage, has not yet spread, and can in many instances, be eliminated and cured with appropriate treatment.

The problem arises when a doctor fails to order the tests that screen for these cancers thereby delaying the diagnosis until the patient develops symptoms or is otherwise diagnosed after the cancer has spread, limiting the treatment options and significantly reducing the chance of a cure.

A cancer lawyer can help you determine if you have a delayed diagnosis medical malpractice claim against a doctor.

NC Foreclosures

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

When I was a kid my sister was living in North Carolina. She was married to a marine that was stationed at Cherry Point. I had a good time there that summer, going to the beach and just being someplace other than home. I live way up north where its really cold in the winter and long for a place to get away from it. Given the state of the economy, maybe now I should figure out if I would like to buy foreclosed homes in the south. Not that I am mister moneybags or anything, but real estate has got to bounce back at some point.

Compost Tumbler at Work

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

There is this great garbage disposal war that has been going on for years, with most of us not even realizing it. Now that composting has become an acceptable topic in normal conversation, it can be pointed out that a compost tumbler really is an environment saver. Eventually all households will have a compost tumbler all of those millions of tons of organic matter will be stopped from going into the ocean and raising the nitrogen levels there. I put together a little informational website about the compost tumbler which explains how this amazing device works and how you too can be creating compost in as little as three weeks. I hope you give it some thought.

A brilliant way to get two beds in 1 miniscule bed

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

An additional type of kids bunkbeds that are becoming more and more popular is miniature grown up furniture. You will be able to get classic bed room furniture that might be similar to your bed room furniture, but in kids beds sizes. This is really going to a fantastic option if you do not want to waste cash on changing beds when they become teenagers. Your son or daughter will feel comfie sleeping in this type of bed when they are a teenager and in college, so they won’t feel ridiculous arriving home and sleeping in a formula 1 car. Your son will be permanently in debt that you used your pennies on a kids bed. Your son will get a unbelievable amount of use out of it.

Keep the Children Safe

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Hi everyone my name is Molly and I wanted to tell you about the concern I have for gun safety. I am sick to death about hearing that some kid got his or her hands on there parents, or friends parents gun and hurt themselves or someone else just because the gun was not properly lock in a gun cabinet or locked in a safe. That is why I bought my husband a gun security cabinet, because you can not replace your kids if they get there hands on those guns. Now I feel better about having guns in the house with kids. Thank you

This is a civil matter not a criminal one.

How a Home Based Business can Save You

Thursday, January 28th, 2010

It’s no secret that the economy is having hard times and that unemployment is refusing to go down. Financial security is pretty much non existent right now, but a home based business can help. Currently most people think that starting up a business of any kind is suicide right now. But the truth of the matter is it’s the best time for the innovator to do something constructive.

First off when making a home based business you have to think about what people want and not what’s popular. This may sound contradictory but invest some thought into it and you’ll see the logic in it. Right now the most popular things on the in crowds minds are electronics and fancy clothes. However when times get rough these fads pass and what’s popular shifts to the necessities rather than the commodities.

Homemade items in particular are being revitalized as people want real decorations for their home made in their own country. They want something that’s made with care and not in some foreign country, shipped overseas, and then marketed to them at a high price. Plus those that make homemade items are usually parents and wouldn’t put anything in their products that they wouldn’t use in their own home.

Aside from homemade crafts and decorations there are services to be performed. Find what people need done, learn how to do it, and then capitalize on it. Homes always need seasonal maintenance and work done on them. Roofs in particular are always in need of repairs. Then you have basements and windows that need weather proofing and cleaning. While there are professional companies that can do this many people trust a local person rather than a faceless conglomerate.

Another idea for your home based business is media repair. Most music and movies are on CD and DVD and peoples collections are quite large. Yes you can download MP3’s and buy them for your computer but there’s something to be said for holding the real album. Unfortunately discs get damaged and need resurfacing in order to function properly. This applies to all forms of discs and includes video games as well.

While these may seem like simple and somewhat menial suggestions you have to remember what world we’re living in. Despite the economic downturn the true rewards are for those that are willing to work hard and achieve their goals. Just sitting on the sidelines never got anyone anywhere save for politicians. However many people still worry about the risks even if they do figure out what they want to do.

These risks are usually financially related and concern getting the initial startup costs for your business. Getting the initial funding can be hard considering most banks have shut their doors tightly and won’t lend out credit to people. This isn’t just for people with imperfect credit scores either as people with scores around the 720 area are being denied loans.

Despite the setbacks and hurdles that many face starting up a home based business can be a wise investment. Aside from the fact that you can be your own boss you can also spend more time at home with your family. This can be the ultimate reward for most people.
